Les Trente glorieuses de la christologie (1968-2000)

La seconde moitié du XXe siècle a connu, dans le domaine de la christologie, une période d'essor extraordinaire. Il est légitime de parler à son sujet de " trente glorieuses ". Balthasar, Grillmeier, Kasper, Küng, Moingt, Rahner, Schillebeeckx..., presque tous les grands théologiens du temps y sont allés de " leur " christologie. Celle-ci a délibérément quitté son époque scolastique, pour faire mieux droit aux textes fondateurs de l'Écriture, dans leur différence avec les documents régulateurs des grands conciles. Il s'agit d'un véritable tournant dont nul ne peut faire l'économie dans l'étude de la christologie. Tous les secteurs de la recherche sont mis en mouvement : la christologie du Nouveau testament, l'histoire ancienne et moderne des doctrines, les christologies liées à des contextes géographiques et culturels nouveaux, la sotérioloige, les christologies philosophiques. L'objet de ce livre est à la fois historique et théologique. Il entend présenter les différents aspects de ce mouvement théologique à partir des analyses d'un choix de très grandes œuvres, principalement de théologiens catholiques, mises en situation et commentées avec précision. Ce bilan s'adresse aux théologiens confirmés, aussi bien qu'aux étudiants ou à tout lecteur passionnée par les grandes questions théologiques. -- The second half of the 20th century was an extraordinary fruitful period in the domain of Christology. We are entirely justified in referring to the 'glorious thirty', borrowing the historians' term for the years after WW2. Balthasar, Grillmeier, Kasper, Küng, Moingt, Rahner, Schillebeeckx - almost all the great theologians of the times developed 'their' Christology. The discipline deliberately moved out of its scholastic period in order to give greater attention to the founding texts of the Scriptures and their difference from the regulating documents produced by the great councils. This was a veritable turn-around that cannot be ignored by students of Christology. All areas of research were mobilized: the Christology of the New Testament, the ancient and modern history of doctrines, branches of Christology linked to new geographical and cultural contexts, soteriology, and the philosophical areas of Christology. This book's aims are both historical and theological. It presents different aspects of this theological movement based on analyses of a selection of very great works, principally by Catholic theologians, placed in context and commented with precision. It is intended for qualified theologians, students and readers who are fervently interested in major theological questions.
